Accessibility Statement

North Dakota Board of Medicine's Commitment to Accessibility

The North Dakota Board of Medicine ("the Board") is committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities have equal access to our information and services, as mandated by state law, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, Tite II.  This includes digital content – such as webpages, documents, and forms available on the Board’s website.

The Board strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as required by the DOJ Final Rule. The Board will continually evaluate its digital content in an effort to implement and maintain ADA compliance, following industry best practices that help ensure content is:

  • Perceivable: Content must be easy for people to see, hear or otherwise sense.
  • Operable: People must be able to use websites and tools in different ways, such as by keyboard or assistive technology.
  • Understandable: Information and instructions should be clear and easy for everyone to follow.
  • Robust: Content should work well with modern technology and continue to work with future tools and assistive devices.

By adhering to these standards, the Board affirms its commitment to creating an inclusive digital environment, one in which every citizen can independently access, understand, and benefit from the information and services our Board provides.

We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility barriers on our website, digital documents, mobile applications, and all online services, to meet the compliance deadline of April 26, 2026.  We ask for your patience as we work toward full conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

We are happy to report that currently, all forms available on our website have passed accessibility checks with Adobe.  However, if you encounter a problem with a form, please contact us and report the problem.

Please note that PDFs posted and available on the Board’s website prior to April 26, 2026, including meeting minutes and disciplinary documents, are considered preexisting conventional electronic documents and therefore may not be ADA Title II accessible.  If you would like a document converted into an accessible format, please contact us and we will do our best to assist as quickly as possible.

The Board's website may contain links to third-party websites or embedded content provided by external vendors. While we strive to link to accessible sites, the Board cannot guarantee the accessibility of all third-party content. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on a linked third-party site, we encourage you to contact that organization directly.

If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using this website, please report the issue to the Board through the Contact Form Submission page.
